WUSC on Campus - Overview

For WUSC, education changes the world, and our ability to link Canada's universities and colleges to our work in international development and cooperation is our hallmark.

Active on more than 80 campuses across the country, we engage with students, faculty & staff and institutions to:

• Promote volunteerism - because hands-on learning can be the most powerful. From joining a WUSC Local Committee on campus to Students Without Borders™ to our annual International Seminar, WUSC helps bridge the gap between theory and practice.

• Welcome students from abroad. WUSC's flagship Student Refugee Program creates new futures in Canada for refugee students from the developing world and enhances the learning experience of the Canadian students who sponsor them. We also manage scholarships for hundreds of students from the global south whose presence enriches Canadian campuses and classrooms.

• Foster global citizenship. We encourage students to become more aware of development issues and their own power. From alleviating poverty to fighting HIV and AIDS to promoting Fair Trade, WUSC believes we can change the world through advocacy and action.
