WUSC in Vietnam
WUSC first began working in Vietnam in 1991, placing specialists in teaching English as a foreign language as well as tourism management. These activities soon evolved into the Young Canadian Volunteers in Vietnam Project .
Current programs Uniterra: Through our volunteer cooperation program, Canadian and southern volunteers are working with local partner organizations in agriculture and rural development. Uniterra is a joint initiative of WUSC and the Centre for International Studies and Cooperation (CECI). Students Without Borders™ : Allows Canadian post-secondary students to apply their academic knowledge to a practical work environment with a local partner in Vietnam. University & College Missions: Organized by WUSC for its institutional members, these annual events provide unique opportunities for exchanges between senior representatives of Canadian universities and colleges and institutions and governments in a developing country. The 2008 mission will take place in Vietnam. |
